The museum
Three historic buildings, one farmyard
The Eggerhaus museum shows traditional rural architecture and everyday life in past centuries. The farmhouse was carefully reconstructed so that its original character survives. Together with the Eggerstadl barn and the granary it forms a small open-air museum.
Visits are by guided tour – every Sunday from 2 to 5 pm between June and September, and by arrangement for groups at other times.

The main house
Log house with painted facade, parlour, black kitchen and an upper parlour furnished in the 18th century.

The Eggerstadl barn
Mid-19th-century barn moved here in 2007/08 – today a space for up to 100 guests.

The granary
Granary from the “Vordere Gassen” farm, taken down in 2010 and re-erected in 2016.

Publications
Books by Prof. Dr. Gunter Dimt on the Eggerhaus and the building and folk culture of the region.
