The Eggerhaus has its own parking lot directly opposite, on the other side of Hatschekstrasse.
Further parking options can be found approximately a 10-minute walk away.

The Eggerhaus combines a quiet location with excellent accessibility:
- The bus stop “Am Wiesenhof” is located in the immediate vicinity.
- The nearest train station - Gmunden train station - is about 3.5 km away.
- On foot you can reach the town centre of Altmünster in about 15 minutes and Lake Traunsee in about 20 minutes.
The museum is a popular destination for hikes in the region, serving as a starting point or stop on tours around the Gmundnerberg mountain. Visitors can easily combine a visit to the museum with the Gmundnerberg nature trail.
From the Eggerhaus itself there is also a beautiful view of the lake – impressively framed by the striking mountain scenery with the Traunstein and the “Sleeping Greek Woman”.
