EGGERHAUS CULTURAL ASSOCIATION
Preserving cultural heritage through community and commitment

OUR MATTER OF THE HEART
Our goal is to give history enthusiasts insights into the building and living culture of the 17th to 19th centuries and to preserve this knowledge for the future. Through the organization of guided tours, exhibitions, and events, we aim to promote cultural activities and make the Eggerhaus a place of inspiration.

ABOUT US
The “Association for the Rescue and Preservation of Historical Building Culture in the Municipality of Altmünster”, founded on December 14, 1995 – known as the “Eggerhaus Cultural Association” since 2002 – can already look back on over 30 years of dedicated work.
Much was accomplished during this time: construction, restoration, and organization.
Numerous events have made the Eggerhaus a vibrant meeting place.
The unexpected death of long-time chairman Hansjörg Franzelin in 2014 marked a profound loss. Helmut Weiser, Mayor Hannes Schobesberger, and Georg Pangerl subsequently took over the leadership of the association. Since August 2025, another active founding member, Friedrich Spießberger, has been at the helm of the cultural association.
